Mark Dziewulski's architecture has a wonderful sensuality to it and he is not afraid to explore and experiment. The lakeside pavilion is a one of a kind design that is not only beautiful but is an example of structural design being pushed to the limit. The creative use of structure is a constant throughout his body of work but it is most readily apparent in the Lake Tahoe house as well as Polish Air Force Memorial, Virgin Records store and the above mentioned Lakeside Studio.
On other projects one sees an interest in the creation of public spaces such as the outdoor shopping arcade he created in California. In this project and on another new housing project in Sacramento one sees a creative attempt at urban planning and spatial diversity within a single project or group of buildings. These projects attempt to create urban like experiences within suburban settings. Mark's work basically puts people first, as he desires to provide gathering spaces and a focal point for the community.
He creates these groupings using a diversity of building shapes and materials which can give the impression that they was built over time and not in one fell swoop which ultimately gives it the feel of a small city. I can vouch for the technical excellence of his work and I am also aware of the amount of dedication he gives to his work and his sensitivity to his clients desires.
