Find out how Arctic has regenerated areas by creating new buildings and refurbishing existing buildings. By strategic planning options for brownfield land, developments can be architecturally designed for both residential and commercial use. Where buildings have become dilapidated requiring creative design work for re-use, our architectural and interior design teams have proven experience in delivering fully developed refurbishment schemes. We are looking forward to receiving your enquiry. As conservation accredited architects we recognise that historical buildings need to be both conserved and regenerated.
Services
The company is now fully established and growing as a practice with lots of help from our associated partners within the building design profession. As specialists in regenerating tired buildings and as an architectural practice with our lead architect Russell Trudgen, accredited in conserving heritage properties, we enjoy the opportunities to bring new life to listed and historic buildings as well as designing for the new. Both aspects keep us sharp as we apply our knowledge to both commercial and domestic buildings.
Now used commercially as a carpet warehouse the Heritage Lottery grant for the building allowed the Landlord to use the deficit grant contribution to reinstate the dilapidated cupola, stained glass feature windows and roof coverings to make it watertight once again. Awarded commendation at Leeds Architectural Awards 2017, this property has been brought back to life and is stimulating new commercial interest in one of city's oldest streets. It is the first regeneration project to be undertaken in this historic area for the Township Heritage Initiative for Kirkgate.
As heritage architects, our approach to conservation and intervention is based on a combination of artistic, contextual, and informational values. Architectural conservation is just one facet of our practice. Our philosophy for conservation is to prolong the material, historical, and design integrity of built heritage through carefully planned interventions.
Wherever you live it is good to have expert advice when you are looking to add extra space or build your own unique home. At Arctic Associates, we are here to give advice to make your dreams a reality. Where land is not an issue the opportunity to develop may still be subject to constraints such as listed buildings nearby, conservation area or designated planning use for the land.

It was a pleasure to work with Russell and Carl on their project to refurbish Trinity Methodist Church in South Elmsall. They did a superb job in fulfilling our vision in designing and creating a Church in the Community for the Community. They have managed to give the Church a makeover fit for the 21st century whilst maintaining its heritage and culture. i would have no difficulty i recommending them to future clients

We have used Arctic Associates for 10 years as we journey to make a church in poor condition into a space that can be used for worship and community activities; recognising its heritage but creating a building suitable for the 21st Century! They have journeyed with us, through many designs, funding bids and setbacks. They have been professional in their work but also supportive and helpful in so many ways.
