Excellent practice with a friendly and approachable team. Efficient, cost effective and very detailed service was provided on our renovation and extension project in Hove, built this year. I would highly recommend using Archangels and will be working with them again in future.

It was a pleasure working with archangels ARCHITECTS and also with Rachael who was responsible for my file. As 11 Lewes Crescent was a Grade 1 listed building, I was rather nervous about getting the necessary building approval from Brighton Council, especially considering the major nature of the works, however, it all went very smoothly with no nasty surprises - mostly due to the professionalism of archangels ARCHITECTS

I engaged the fantastic archangels team when I started the process of buying our little terraced house in brighton. at the start, the house was dark, damp and in need of a total overhaul. I was living abroad. and here we are now, installed in a brilliant, bright and welcoming home that we have all the intention to stay in for a very long time! archangels came to the rescue in three ways: great ideas for opening up and modernising the house, making a huge difference in terms of light, layout and efficient use of quite small spaces; managing the process of producing, submitting plans, doing environmental and other surveys, engaging structural engineers, etc; and finally but really critically, overseeing all the works and acting as go between with the building company, which was especially important as I was abroad but also because they are experts and were able to really make sure things were done to a high standard. i have not regretted archangel's involvement for a single moment!

We worked with Archangels for the last 2 years on the complete renovation of our 1920s house, which included a two storey extension, loft conversion and hard landscaping. Archangels provided different experts from their team for different stages of the process: a designer and architect for the early planning, an architectural technician during the build, and Richard as the senior architect overseeing the whole process, negotiating us through planning, archeological surveys, building regs and the entire build.

This worked very well, giving us the confidence that the design and build was expertly managed, and providing us with both excellent creative design flair and astute attention to detail when needed. What was a dark and dingy house is now a bright classic contemporary home that makes the most of the sea views on every level. Having been disappointed by previous designers and seen friends struggle working with lone architects who couldn't provide such a comprehensive package, we know we made the right choice with Archangels, and are very happy in our new home.

We completely changed the down stairs to our Property with a large wrap around extension which ArchAngels designed for us. It has created a large, light and practical living space for my family. Our 1930's bungalow needed modernising and extending. At our initial meeting Richard from archangels filled us with confidence that our vision, a contemporary home filled with light, was achievable and he immediately gave us some great ideas. Richard and Hannah then worked with us to develop and refine these ideas, introducing practical innovations throughout the design process.

They listened carefully to our hopes and aims and came up with options for achieving them. They supported us in the selection of the building contractor and then took on the project management. During this phase their communication continued to be outstanding working well with us and the builders. They continued to come up with creative ideas, made sure the project was on track and ensured that any issues were quickly resolved.

Throughout the whole process we were encouraged by archangels' friendly and approachable style. They were very easy to deal with and very supportive. We have now moved back into our beautiful home with our hopes and expectations well and truly exceeded. We remain grateful to archangels for their creativity, expertise and professionalism and strongly recommend them.

I sometimes find it hard to believe that the light-filled, dry and comfortable home is the same damp, dank and dark house that I started off with. I contacted a number of architects before I bought the house, and Richard was the only one interested in seeing the space and making any suggestions on how I could utilise the space before the house was mine.

That he didn't run off screaming when he saw the house I was planning to buy was a big selling point for me! Instead, and in spite of the size limitations and awkward layout of the house, archangels were skilled at taking my ideas and doing their architect thing to come up with a plan that somehow met all my needs, . I engaged archangels to manage everything from the builder tender process, through to dealing with the council's painful planning permissions process, and project managing the work.

Communication at all stages was excellent, and as a result of archangels' professionalism, I did not experience any of the horrors that I know a house renovation can entail. I suppose the best recommendation I can give is to say that I would have zero hesitation in taking on another project of this scale, provided I had the creative, experienced and extremely capable and approachable team from archangels working with me.

We spent a small fortune to have windows installed. Firstly, they recommended bad fitters that did a bad job and now this summer the lead flashing that they specified over our windows blew away in a storm risking injury and damage to those below. I had hoped that hiring specialist architects to help with this work would be beneficial. In retrospect it was a GREAT mistake and I could have specified and managed the job better myself.

For many people, the idea of hiring an architects can be quite daunting. There seems to be a common apprehension among householders that an architect will impose their idea of style on you, rather than satisfy your needs. I am so glad I hired archangels ARCHITECTS . The team came up with great ideas for my extension, and really listened to my requirements. I had to stage the build, and they were really accommodating with also staging the design and specification process. I am halfway through the project now, and am really enjoying the new kitchen extension that is phase one. I would have no hesitation of working with them again, and recommending them to other people.

Although the project was restricted in terms of budget, the team took on board our ideas and worked them into a great solution which has made a really positive difference to our home and how we live. They were great at recommending different products and used client friendly tools such as creating a Pinterest board to illustrate ideas.
