The practice has experience in housing, residential, commercial and industrial work and has designed Hotels, Guest Houses, Nursing Homes and Restaurants. A.L.D.A. has been involved in the restoration of Listed Buildings and has worked in Conservations Areas and on urban regeneration schemes. From listed buildings to office and retail developments A.L.D.A. has the experience.

Landscape Commissions include Landscape Structure Plans, environmental improvements, work in areas of special scientific interest (ASSI's), wildlife habitat enhancement and the everyday repair and maintenance work for Housing Authorities. The practice was commissioned to work with the RSPB to create the nature reserve at D2 in Belfast Harbour Estate which was mentioned on the television programme Coast.

Part of the service offered is the submission of Planning and Building Control applications, and when necessary lodging Planning Appeals.

The practice also produces tender documents, obtains tenders, monitors work during construction and certifies its completion. A.L.D.A. carries indemnity insurance, and regularly certifies payments that release funds from Banks and Building Societies.
