The practice is located in a renovated stonework Barn at Drumnacanvy Road on the outskirts of Portadown. The office accommodation demonstrates how sensitive design and construction on site can enhance the quality of the built environment. The practice also specialises in individual residential design with bespoke 'One off' house designs.

We met Paul McAlister five years ago when we were thinking of building a passive house. We were always interested in building a house that was comfortable twelve months of the year but without very high fuel bills. Our McNeice House was selected as the winner of the 2019 Ulster Tatler Award 'House of the Year'. The award took into account the exterior and interior design of the house and was a competitive field. Congratulations to our clients Fearghal and Lisa McNeice. The Crest Pavilion, South West College, Enniskillen was the winner of the Sustainability Category at the 2016 Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA) Awards. The Crest Pavilion, South West College, Enniskillen, Highly Commended in the Design through Innovation at the 2015 RICS awards.

Very possibly the best Architect on the Island of Ireland. Paul and Scott designed our house in 2016. When given the brief they presented us with plans a few weeks later, they had everything we asked for spot-on and then some more. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. Having scoured the internet and researched architects (*including some of the most well known and expensive in NI) Paul McAlister was our choice.
The reason we chose Paul was that from reading his story/biography he seemed passionate about architecture and it was a choice for him to follow this route or fine art, it was a no brainer for us that someone with such passion would design our house. From start to finish were not disappointed. It's now 2019 and we wouldn't change a thing about our house. I can't recommend this company highly enough if you are thinking of building your own house. They have guided me through, what is often considered the most stressful thing you will ever do, with little fuss and limited stress. The team are the most pleasant upbeat guys you could meet. Always there to answer questions, be that during the working day or after hours at night, when something pops into you head that you need answered. Paul McAlister and Scott Montgomery, were the two men I was most involved with throughout my new build and I have nothing but praise for the both of them. Thankyou all so much.
