Services
Do you like the idea of turning a relatively inexpensive piece of land into a 50k, 75k, 100k or maybe even 250k asset without the risk of spending and potentially losing thousands? Then enquire about our 'No Pass, No Fee' service. We take the risk off of your hands, do all the work and liaise with the authorities in an effort to gain you that valuable Planning Permission and you only pay us if we succeed!
If your proposals involve an extension and a loft conversion for example we will advice of a price reduction if both services are carried out at the same time. Our fees do not include council submission fees or third party instructions such as structural engineers etc. Please Note:Building Regulation drawings are commonly confused with full working drawings.

We used Jon to draw up the plans for our 1st floor extension. We had an idea of what we wanted and Jon drew it up exactly and even did a render of the front to show the before and after! This really helped us visualise it and we made a couple of minor tweaks that we may not have noticed otherwise. Jon also advised us what to do when the Planners came back with some concerns about us being too close to next door.
So we followed up with his advice and received planning permission smoothly! The build is now complete and looks just as we'd hoped! We have since recommend Jon to others and would use him again!

We worked with Jon to prepare and submit the drawings for our single storey extension. Jon met us at home, measured up and was so helpful along every step of the way. Plans were submitted and agreed and he even helped chase council building officers when needed. Nothing was ever too much and we would definitely use Jon and his team again.

We was very happy, with the service we received from, John child's Architectural design! he was so helpful and tweaked the design for our double storey side extension a few times. He did the building regulations for us then had the plans approved with Maidstone borough council all of which took about 12 weeks from survey to planning approval! We requested Jon to come and give some ideas for basement works for a art studio at our new house. Jon was brilliant in his advice and has delivered exactly what we were looking for. Subsequently, we also asked Jon to help with Building Control requirements for our loft rooms refit and his knowledge, confidence and support have helped us to get the full support of the local authority. We've used Jon's services on a couple of occasions, once indirectly for a survey and new drawings for planning permission and once for building regulations approval, which succeeded first time. He's always quick to reply and make time to visit and is very knowledgeable and informative especially for people doing their first extention or building work, like ourselves. Highly recommended.

I am very happy with the service provided by this company, which was recommended to us by a friend in the building trade. We were undertaking a garage to kitchen conversion with an extension as well and unfamiliar with the process required. Jon visited within a couple of days and guided us through obtaining planning consent for a conservation area, produced the drawings and submitted the whole project to the planners. Once consent was given, John Snr. took over and managed the whole build through to completion. They are not the cheapest company out there but you get what you pay for.

I would just like to say thank you to Jon Childs and his team of expert builders for their personal attention throughout my rear kitchen extension. Looking for a good local builder was daunting to be honest. However, once I met with Jon junior who deals with the planning and drawings for the family run business I was left at ease. They quickly managed the local constraints with my local council and any issues were quickly dealt with meaning the project was underway within a week or so. The builders were polite, on time and nothing was too much hassle, even when I changed a few ideas last minute. We now love our new kitchen space and would highly recommend.
